I've always bounced between Nord/Dunmer since Daggerfall. I also just identify way more with the huge animosity of these three races against the Daedric threat...they just feel right.

The biggest reason is because that the guild I'm in has decided that this'll be the faction that we shall be our main

Walking a thin line here, in regards to RvR but I'll keep it centered on EP.

The Ebonheart Pact is a "Common Cause" alliance, as I see it in comparison with the others. What speaks to me is the sense of overcoming individual/racial differences for the greater good of all. I like to think of this as a noble alliance, a community oriented alliance, an alliance born out of necessity and sense of overcoming odds. A round table with individual differences set aside. Not a fairy tale, but a tale of growth. No race is placed above others, and no one is above any other.  As far as the scenery goes, the northern landscapes, morrowind and the marshes are all on top of my list. And I'm a swede, so naturally the Nord race is appealing.

Because I feel like I can relate more and justify more what the Nord's are ultimately fighting for, their freedom. Also because I'm interested to see how the tension in our pact develops over the course of the ESO story!

Dunnmer; Morrowind was the start point on my Elder Scrolls journey, so by default me and my guild were bound to join. But when I found out about what other races were in the pact I couldn't resist!

Dunnmer and Nords, previous enemies, wars and racial tension.

    Dunnmer previously enslaved the Argonians.

Its got drama and tension written all over it. the Pact was sold to me!

Because its the right thing to do :)

Its easy to criticise, its a lot harder to find a better solution.

Sorc = All rounder and main | DK = Hybrid LA/HA | NB = IAS Build (increased attack speed) | Templar = Undecided.

I'm leaning toward argonian. I have no background in the ES series so I don't really know much of the lore.

    1. I was disappointed to hear so many people saying that the argonian race was not a good pick. I have looked at the passives and, while the swim speed one is lame the others seem nice for pvp healer. I have pvp'd quite a bit in other games and as a healer I like being able to survive. Dead healers aren't very effective, so yeah i'll trade off a little oomph in hps/dps for more survivability.  Anyway, I could be wrong but I think Argonians will be good for pvp healing, in fact I think the all the ebonheart pact races have decent passives that would mesh nicely with available active abilities for pvp for certain class combinations.  We'll see. /shrug

    2.  I like the little bit I've seen of the argonians in game. The ones who aren't completely subjugated ,whiny cowards seem to be very noble and honorable with a strong sense duty for the greater good of the land and their race...even if it requires great personal sacrifice. Do what's right, not what's easy...that seems to be them... I like it. Of  course, like I said, I don't know the lore... I could be wrong.

    3. I also like the looks of the Argonians.

I'm still looking around but I think I'll probably end up in the pact for those reasons.

I am joining the Pact, not because most of the population will be there (or so it seems unless this changes in the future), but because of our leader Jorunn.

"Jorunn, of Eastern Skyrim, is acting High King of the Great Moot, but he does not rule absolutely. His decisions must be ratified by all three races in a unique form of governance called The Great Moot. He is down-to-earth, humorous, and has an iron will to succeed."

I like that personality and am not interested in kissing ass to some king/queen.

Agreed. Jorunn is a bad ass.

I have played a stealthy, assassin type Dunmer in all Elder Scrolls games. There's just something about the Dark Elves that has drawn me to them, to the point to where I have no desire to play any other race, no matter how amazing they may look in game. I honestly don't really know why I picked this race from the start, but ever since, I've stuck with it, so intend to continue the tradition and be the best Dark Elf I can possibly be.

I, too, really liked the Pact for the Argonians. I like how the story line presents them and agree with Omynn's second bulletin. It's one of the main reasons I plan to main EP as an Argonian at launch. Plus, who doesn't want to be a bad ass lizard man? All we need is a tail swipe racial!

Well, I used to play Skyrim as a Nord and Morrowind as a Dunmer. I would like to see the areas from those games, but it seems that I'll never see Vvardenfll again. :D

Well I was orignally going to go Daggerfall but all three of the playable areas in the beta were so boring, both the quests and the environment and the faction itself. I didn't have that much interest in the Bigoted Aldmeri so I figured I would try out Ebonheart. I found the environment and the faction races both to be much more interesting.

Really you know this for sure that there is no Vvardenfll area? That's unfortuneate.

Unfortunately yes, I hope they'll add Vvardenfell as a new feature later in the game, as an add-on or an expansion

I'm here because my first approach to a new elder scrolls game is with a character in Heavy Armor and wielding a greatsword or a battleaxe. In that way nords are just perfect, and I don't like to play as an elf, a cat or a lizard.

The Ebonheart Pact is where I belong because I am not interested in conquest, but only what is fair and equitable between free peoples.  I do not have domination in my heart.  Some would call that "weakness" or "softeness".  However, those who truly understand know that the true strength within us is not when we arbitrarily take a life, but knowing when to spare one.  That being said, it does NOT mean that the Ebonheart pact won't defend itself and defend its lands to the death.  We are skilled and deadly warriors as any, and we will defend our homes and families as fiercely as any.  Do not mistake humility and humbleness for weakness!

Kings will rule, and kings will die.  Thrones will be filled, and thrones will be emptied.  So it has always been in Tamriel.  So it always will be.  What matters most to a common man is not how much space he owns or occupies on a map, or how much power or dominion he holds over others.  What matters most to him is his honor and freedom.  Trample on them at your own peril.

    Long live the Ebonheart Pact!

Well I think we might see Vvardenfell in an future expansion or something like that, but I also think Zenimax has to be very careful with that zone particular. It might disappoint some players because I know there are many Morrowind fans who would only buy the game just to see Vvardenfell again.
