Favorite Ultimates

For me, the best is Energy Overload, having a 3rd bar, and recovering Magicka from tapattacks is unbeatable.

My favorite Weapon Ulti (Hey, we get 2!) is Ballista.  I'm just going to leave this here to Burst, and do something else...  I soloed the Frost Monarch (Dropped another Belt of Air, but at least this one's Purple!) with a Dodge-roll (Hasty Retreat!) and Shielded Charge to play Burst Tank.  Would've thought it would take longer, based on the other Atronach Monarch fights, but at least this one didn't have Lava to work around.  Couldn't have done it without my pocket DPS, came right back up right after that fight.  Is it me, or is it a little cheap (okay with Power Stone, but still!  No Heroic Slash or nothin!)  Didn't even need Dark Deal, it was over so fast.

I used to use EOL as my Boss Bar, now I don't have to!

So, what's your picks?  Seeing as we can have 2, there's no reason not to pick 2.  And why?

Nothing beats the satiscation of hammering someone down with the 2H ultimate or going Super Mario with Take Flight. The rawwwwrggggh! feel is just too great. The strongest? No, but sure as hell the coolest.

Okay, yeah.  I just ROFLstomped a world boss I was nowhere near the level to take with Dragon Leap.  Onslaught is Fast.  That's what I like about it. "Thump!" go on with your rotation...  Not going to interrupt, do not pass go, go ahead and Block, you can cancel the Animation with a Block, and leave them wondering where all their Health went.

What I like the most about Onslaught is it allows me to play a 2Hander exactly like I wished it would have played from release, whack the poor fools for a bit and then just WHAM peace see you later and on to the next target. Reverse Slice can do it too and is probably better, but the visuals just isn't on the same level; a cute ballerina spin vs a huge brutal swing... Decked out in Seventh Legion with Sword-Singer on jewelery, belt and weapon even let me look like a huge hulking monster of iron and pain while doing massive damage too, I love it.

Not to mention my 2H char is a DK, being able to go Onslaught into Take Flight allow me to use my two favorite ultimates back to back.

Okay, yeah.  The refund if you kill with it is really nice.  Sounds like what I call a "Heavy Hitter."

    Ballista.

Really like this one, that and Hasty Retreat (Especially with Hunter's Eye, Way of Air, Senche's Bite...) is enough for a Bow Bar all bye itself.  What really rocks on this is you just set it, and go on with whatever you were going to do, while it focusses the target to death.  I like to pick the biggest target, with the deepest Health pool, and barswap to a Shield for Shield Charge.  Pierce Armor (Tap Tap Tap) Block (Dakka Dakka...)  Basically just hold them still while Ballista does the rest.

Let's say you're playing a Tank.  A Tankety-Tank TANK, but you want to Solo?  Strap on a bow, go find a World Boss to pick on, sick Ballista on it, and Tank.  As long as you Survive, He's probably not gonna.  There's just something reassuring about that.  (Bring Heroic Slash to get your Ultimate back up, so you can do it again.  And again...)  Also lots, and lots of DoTs on the Bow Tree.  So, you can heap Ticks on top of that Machinegun of an Ultimate too to make sure it's Dead, but you rarely have to, as long as you're not way out of your Depth Solo.

It honestly makes Solo Tank an aweful lot more viable.
