Tamriel Foundry

The ESO Vodcast - TF Map and Crafting Video

Hey folks! Today we have quite a few things to talk about as we get closer and closer to the launch of the game. A lot of information and amazing, community-created stuff has been flowing out to the public recently and we can't help but get more pumped! Today we'll cover the new interactive map that was released on Tamriel Foundry (it's awesome!), as well as look over the new "Blacksmithing in Tamriel" video and Ask us Anything: Variety Pack 13! After we knock out the first three subjects we'll close out the episode with viewer questions from the live chatters. Thanks a lot for tuning in for this episode of the ESO Vodcast!

@Soma @Deagen I agree on the progression requirements. As a massive TES fan myself I see this as hearkening back to Morrowind style where if you went to the wrong area before you were ready you got wrecked. We can't run this Oblivion style where you can walk to end game and have scaled bosses to level 5. Another good cast. couldn't be more excited for next beta weekend.

I like the interactive map.  Has every skyshard been located and placed on that map?

The crafting is so cool! Other day I was thinking of; is there going areas in the game where craft gets ex-bounds? To find out the answer is yes! Can't wait to start up my crafting character. Thank you ESO vodcast, keep up the good work.

@Soma @Deagen  Speaking to the XP bonus from the Rings of Mara and how that bonus can stack with other bonuses; you already get an XP bonus just for leveling in a group.  That is the first obvious answer to me of what bonus they are saying it stacks with.  Following along with your idea of wearing 2 rings though, my wife and I will definitely both be attempting to do the ritual with both of our accounts in hopes of getting 2 rings to wear.  Thank you for the vodcast.

Yup, it has been stated that experience bonuses...and bonuses in general stack very well.

I just realised how close your name is to mine. Haha.

The Daggerfall Covenant has a claim on the ruby throne.

We will take it by force from this corrupted Empire and destroy those that stand in our way, whether it be Man, Beast-man, or those twisted Elves.

Just the beginner ones for now. I believe they don't want to ruin the fun of finding them on your own yet. That said, there are other sites that have some of the skyshards mapped out if you want to peek, as well as most of the other stuff. I'll pass... too early for me.

    Another great episode guys.

Seeing as how researching traits in crafting within a single specific armor piece like "cloth helm" takes 6 hours for the first one, then 12 hours for the next, then 24 hours, 48, 96.... etc... It is understandable why people might think it takes a long time. There is a skill in each of the main 3 smithing trade skills that reduces research time by up to 20% and allows for research of 2 or 3 items at a time within that crafting skill. Points well spent!

Agreed. I think the game would just be too easy if there was lvl scaling like in Oblivion. If there are areas where there are things that will destroy you easily then that gives you something to overcome. I think it's a great way to do things.
