CP Optimisation #beta

Hi guys,

maybe some of your fine folks want to help me building a "kind of" easier way for people to find the perfect CP distribution.

I tried to build a spread sheet that helps you filling in the correct numbers in the CP Calculator of @Asayre. It's the first attempt, maybe it's shitty, maybe its helpful - you guys have to decide. Only works for Stamina DK, Stamina NB and Stamina Sorc so far. If the idea is shitty to beginn with, I dont wanted to waste too much time.

If you are interested in participating:

Just go to https://drive.google.com/open?id=1FlCNaE6kW3Ts1Vry0Z4QNGb64Zc4bYYDEUqxBImhGNQ and try to use it.

Any feedback is great. If you see easier ways to achieve my goal, that's even better :)

Looks good! I added a link to this page in the Help section, if you don't mind.

I for one am a big supporter of this effort and will sticky this sucker... i see so many requests all over the site for info on how to optimize cp at various cp totals... it is a common question, and this will be super helpful as a resource to new and vet players.

    thanks jeckll!

I think it looks pretty good; it can be a helpful tool for some users.

Just a minor note, might just be me actually. Column C is for physical direct damage and C2 says "Physical" damage as expected. But H7 under damage percentages also says the same thing. Obviously they are different, but may cause confusion for some people, even though you don't need to enter anything. A suggestion would be to use "Physical non-DoT" in C2, to align with Asayre's CP calculator.

Ah I see. Thanks - i will take a look at that.

Thx for the kind words guys. In that case, I will complete the thing.

I'm thinking of calling it direct damage since ZOS seems to favour that term.

I added the Spell Section of the Damage Percentage as well as the "non-dot" line.

I also rounded the final values for Weapon Critical and Damage Percentage as Asayre's Website requires integers.

    That's nice.

There is a point I forgot to raise previously, regarding the Sorc spreadsheet, I am pretty sure Hurricane does physical damage as opposed to shock damage (which is the case for the other morph, Boundless Storm). Is it an oversight or is there any peculiarity I am not aware of?

Hm, I was looking at the tool tip in a skill calculator and it stated in the initial text shock damage. Now that you raised the question, I checked again and later on, it states "Converts into a Stamina Ability and deals phyiscial damage" - :( my bad - it's hard for someone playing nb exclusively :)

    thx again. I corrected it.

Jeckll, this looks great! Will give it a go tonight and let you know how it works out.

One question - if using an ability not listed here (deadly cloak being the primary example), assume it works best just to toss it in a corresponding box in a different skill (so maybe the DoT column for dawnbreaker, since I'm not using that)?

Fantastic idea!  I've been using my own less-sophisticated spreadsheet as a primer to Asayre's, but this is good stuff.

Quick question - weapon crit %, should the value that we enter here be the value we get when all our CP are taken out?  Or should we use our normal "base" crit %

    Thanks!

Take the full buffed Weapon Crit Value including the 12% from CP, Major Savagery and if you want to optimize for raids (or you're a NB), Minor Savagery as well.

If a skill is missing, just add it to a similar skill. Deadly Cloak should be a physical dot (you catch me offguard here - never tested it), so add it to any row as long as you take the correct column (Physical Dot).

I'm a console player and don't have luxury of add ons. I know it's probably been asked over a million times. But any help with cp distribution for a stam dk would be helpful. I just got into a pretty organized trial guild with some of the better pve os4 players I've played with. I'm still farming for perfect trial gear/trait and kragh. I have 2 pc kragh both Devines but heavy so one set up I use is 2 velidreath medium Devine with 5 night mother 3 vo and other set up is 5 tbs 3 vo 4 leki. Any help would be great. All weapons are sharpened on set ups. Any questions or help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and I'm a redguard thought about switching to khajit since is my main but not for now

There is no way for you to calculate the perfect setup other than trial and error. I suggest using a CP Setup from a StamDK Guide (Check @Alcast for example).

With some extra effort, you could vary this setup a bit by switching 10 points from Precise Strikes to Thaumaturge for example and try if you get better results with that. But since trials have so many variables, it will be really hard to find the perfect setup. As the difference will be quite slim anyways, its probably best to stick to a proposed CP distribution from pro players.

Try the addon "constellations". It's way easier.
