Solar Barrage (Solar Flare morph): This morph now grants the Empower buff after every tick of damage, instead of only when you initially cast it.

Now this is getting interesting :). Also Eclipse seems to do more damage now, I wonder if it could be useful ?

I reckon still more appropriate for certain PvP usage rather than PvE. Not only is the cost a bit prohibitive, you cannot cast this skill against a cc immune target, so you have to keep swapping targets.

Solar Barrage is interesting, would be interesting to see how to incorporate into a rotation. I’ve tried a few things such as replacing Purifying Light and reducing number of Sweep by 1 per cycle, but the main problem I have is the cast time, where I have a tendency to block cancel the cast and then lose dps as a result; will definitely need a bit more time to work it out.

Might be difficult to make full use of the Empower on a templar as well.

DK can reflect damage of Varlariel, Eclipse can do it too ? ^^

Im think is that Rearming trap worth for Magicka DD?Most magDKs use that, but magplars seem not

Eclipse has a cooldown as It a kind of CC skill

Rearming trap is definitely worth considering. The minor force buff is always useful, the damage is not bad even without scaling on any of our core stats and from a sustain perspective it’s essentially free, costing stamina rather than magicka.

Last time I checked it was not worth it. Damage to low and damage inprovement couldn’t compensate the damage loss compared to alternative abilities.

I found it less powerful than alternative Magicka abilities but actually ended up using it instead of Channeled Focus. The cost being Stamina rather than Magicka made it fit in very well with my particular rotation / sustain level, but different setups may get different value from it.

    Latest attempts post CWC

    Entirely self-buffed. No potions.

Running 5 Julianos, 3 / 5 IA (Infused + Shock / Sharpened + Weapon Damage swords DW front bar), 2 Slimecraw, vMA Lightning back bar (Infused + Shock).

    Parse

If getting drain from the healer I would switch in Rearming Trap for Minor Force without adding to my magicka costs.

    Looks pretty promising.

What are your Minor Vulnerability and off balance uptime?

92% Minor Vulnerability, 69% Off Balance. Not got a screenshot on buff uptimes but only variable on there is the weapon damage enchant uptime, which is coming in ~40% every time.

    Parse debuffs

I am heavy attacking every 8 seconds or so, hence consuming Off Balance fairly frequently.

All of this is currently optimised for a less than perfectly coordinated group / boss fights with lots of movement. For something optimised I’d switch Slimecraw for Ilambris / Grothdarr or 2 separate 1 piece bonuses, shock enchants for flame to proc burning and run Rearming trap in place of drain.

    Parse with 5 Juli

Just noticed the parse above had been with 4/6 IA and only 4 Juli. Fixed that and got the result above.

Looks very good. How managable are your resources? Is it sustainable?

I wonder what how a variation with Master Architect instead of IA would be for a Trial situation.

Sustain is fine on this. I can sustain self-buffed on the 3m dummy with Magicka left over. That slot for drain could be replaced on bars / in rotation with Channeled with drain provided externally.

Not got gold MA set to test but rough maths would be:

    • Loss of ~2% from losing a set bonus
    • Gain of 15% extra damage for 10 seconds every time ulti is used. 15% works out about 12% in practice. I am using Shooting Star roughly every 50s, so ends up about 2.4% gain
    • Individually would be a wash but in trials would boost group damage
    • Would also mean casting ulti only on DW bar where currently you can cast as it comes off CD

    Siphonning Attacks = Channeled Focus

    Crippling Grasp = Reflective Light

    Twisting Path = Blazing Spear

    Merciless Resolve = Purifying Light

Here is how i thinked this build xD

Yep, btw one of my friend tied this build with a non perfected asylum, and get same DPS as me so you don’t really need a perfect to do decent dmg !

What I’ve been wondering, what is the actual contribution of vSA staff with Force Pulse. As far as I remember Force Pulse used to be pretty bad, so where do the improvements come from, and what can be carried over in a raid context? For example: Does “Burning” stack ?
