Fair enough – and that is the essence of a build anyway, the playstyle.  If it works for you, great!  I havent tanked anything on a nonDK since IC so i think i am a bit spoiled when it comes to sustain, and i can afford to just permablock most of the time.  Like @liv3mind i use magicka drain glyphs to give back magicka on my ransack/heroic slash. That of course lets me generate stamina with igneous shield… So a totally different playstyle.

Great build Morgan. I’ll just copy and paste the whole build. My imperial is ready for power leveling.

    Get it.

While it lacks the survivability of a Magplar-HealTank, the Stankplar does extremely well in Trials; an area the HealTank lacks given it’s very low Stamina pool.

    Hello) I have few questions:

What about attribute points? All stamina?

Why invest only one CP in Blessed and Piercing?

    Puncture is unmorphed?

Thanks alot in advance) Seems like I dont understand some mechanics :(

I usually leave attributes up in the air and just repec them to meet personal needs. But I added my own! 10 HP, 54 STAM

1% healing helps! I think I have 10 into piercing now after the update.

Forgive me. I meant Pierce Armor. I’ve edited it. Thank you.

I like your vet dungeon set up i really like that black rose set …

i was wondering something though… i plant to go reinforce on the big pieces of black rose and sturdy in the smaller… however my question is would you change anything about your build from there  with all these new sets out?….

    i have a few theories…

one would be pairing it with plague doctor for dungeons that require me to be more tanky more health etc.

and there are a few other new heavy armor sets with rings and weapons that provide weapon damage there are also a ton of new medium armor 5 piece sets that i can go around having to have a piece of medium armor on by taking those weapons and jewelry…

just curious anything else you’d try now?….

    how bout for vet trials?

Well okay!  I haven’t tried a Champion of Malakath lately, and I like the cut of this Jib.  (I’m probably going to stack Blazing Spears on Endless hail, just so you know.)  Very nice build.

Everything above is likely Opinion, and/or subject to change.

I mostly play ”Gofasta” Orcish berserkers in Red armor.  (Alluding to WH40K.)

For vet dungeons, you state that you use Black Rose in Impen.  Impen doesn’t do anything in PvE, does the set not come in any other trait?  Because that seems like an awful waste.

Reinforced is fine for big pieces, especially if you’re having trouble hitting resist caps. But keep in mind: I do all the vet trials at ~30k spell and ~29k physical.

Plague Doctor is a PvP-blazing templar-gimmick to me, as I’ve never had issue with any vet dngeon or trial running ~27k-30k hp. More than that is a waste of other potentially useful passives (regen, resist, Healing recieved, etc.) since anything that is truly threatening in these dungeons are mostly one-shot mechanics anyway, and having 50k+ health won’t help with that.

I use bows on less involved vet dungeons for the movement speed from dodge rolling and stacking ground AOEs. I do a caltrops then Endless Hail -> Blazing Spear the point of impact I’ll have with the mobs as both of those will begin ticking damage at pretty much the same time with animation cancelling.

I use Impen Black Rose for v.dungeons because it’s easy to acquire (a day of sewer farming/ganking at most), has a amazing regen passives that supplement the Constitution bonus, and doesn’t run up a a tab with repairs! Honestly, the fact that it’s heavy and you’re using S&B is more than enough stats/passives to complete any v.dungeon.

You can always use your Tel’Var stones on the greater armor boxes on the vendor next to the Armorer down there for a chance at a random trait, in which case, you’d definitely want Sturdy small pieces and Infused/Reinforced big pieces. That’s pretty costly I’ve found when my guild pooled our stones to hook up some players with optimum Meritorious Service and Powerful Assault sets.

So with the new changes we’d actually be able to combine blood spawn blackrose and tavas favor

or engine guardian tavas and black rose

eitber this sounds like a great vet dungeon build possibly a reg trial build what you think ?

I would most likely be using Hist Bark + Black Rose + Sentinel as my go-to-non-competitive-“HOLD-BLOCK” build, with BR gold jewelry and two body so that you can just craft weapons/shields for Histbark. It’s the least taxing on your build and you’ll get really close to null-cost blocking w/ BR return and the hp/stam regen of Robo-Shamu. Stankplars benefit the most from not having to rely on Shuffle for Major Evasion, so this will be BiS for the v.AA HM fight.

I agree with you 100% though about Tavas + BR. I’m excited to see the returns in PvE endgame scenarios.

Do you level this build in stamina or magicka?

really trying a bunch of stuff out and seeing what I like and this build seems great, especially considering there isn’t a whole lot out there in regards to Templar builds…

Stam works just fine. Biting Jabs is basically more than enough to complete everything in the story-lines. Throw a blazing shards in the mix and a hail of arrows, and you can wipe anything during the 1-50 grind. I initially leveled as a tank too and just threw up a blazing shield if I ever got over-burdened, letting latent health recovery and the imperial passive heal me back to full.

With One-Tamriel, you just need to focus more on keeping your gear on-par with your level to ensure you’re able to deal sufficient dmg.
