I have been using the build as an Orc, and am at 66k health with the food buff active.  What is the point of the restoration staff on the second bar?  Why does it have to be a staff of Endurance? There is no benefit at all on the second bar for having that particular staff, could you not use any staff at all with a defensive trait?

Yes, you can use any random resto staff, doesn’t have to be Endurance, i just happen to have an endurance one. I’ll update the original post.

Why the resto staff tho? For resource return. Resto staff has a passive called “Cycle of Life” that increases magicka return by 30%, combined with Heavy Armor passive called “Rapid Mending” which gives 25% increase return, along with the buff Heavy Attacks got on resource return for Morrowind patch, the amount of magicka you get back is insane, just one HA is all you need to continue on, which is plenty of time to squeeze in on the 1h&s ultimate.

No need to use the resto staff though if you don’t need resources.

I made mine an argonian because of the magika/health bonuses and resource return for when drinking potions and 5% healing received and given. And in case anybody wonders, his name is ‘Runs-from-girls’ :P

Ok THAT does make sense!  Also I have been playing with using biting jabs instead of the volcanic rune, as the 8 second crit boost for weapons gives me a good few solid whacks with my sword, as well as the initial damage from the biting jabs….the heavy swings regen the stam, so I can sort of spam biting and do quite a bit more damage than with the volcanic rune.

Nice that you’re playing around with it, making it your own. I mainly use Volcanic Rune to throw mobs up in the air as a CC though, not so much damage.

I believe it doesn’t matter too much on race. Its not a “Have-to-do-this-way” kind of guide. It’s just a rough guide to help you get a feel and you might feel some things work better in place of something in the guide. Like you might find some gear gives a better bonus elsewhere instead of plague-doctors etc

You list five pieces Plague Doctor and five Pieces Warrior Poet – do the last two pieces (hed/shoulders) not really matter at all?

all armour + jewellery = 10 pieces. you dont use plague/warriors on weapon/shield etc Exact ordering of the pieces is not necessary, just as long as you have 5 of each to maxmise full bonus traits fo the sets. the weapon/shield and staff is different sets. Mostly because you dont want to miss out on the full 5 trait sets offered by Warriors/plagues

no worries. glad to be of help. Although if building a tank, you may want to look into the new sets from Falkreath dungeons… some of them seem rather OP at the moment for increasing defence and such
