Sorry for the late thank you on the trap testing, we all appreciate it. That seems pretty similar to the difference I saw too. I asked Nos and he tested a stamplar and also parsed better with rearming. He added he may need to recheck his dk to see if lightweight is really better there as he originally found it was, but he seemed less convinced now. Thanks again for the testing help and hard work you put in for all of us.

    Glad it helped. :)

    Patch notes are up.

From the little I’ve read so far, Stamina has received a number of nerfs excluding Caltrops, which has received a huge buff.

Siphoning Strikes has had its functionality changed quite a bit as well.

+ Nerfs to Redguards, and sustain in general, which will probably drastically change the way everyone across all builds will have to play.

One of the morphs will, yes, but the numbers for stamina will be a “significant reduction” from what they are on Live.

My wife and I both got the invite for Morrowind beta, but I don’t really play all that much anymore.

After reading the patch notes, it looks like my poor little kitty stamina NB is going to get his claws clipped. From the viewpoint of a casual gamer like myself, it just looks like they’re trying to make the game harder. PVE was getting pretty easy from what I recall.

I got back into the game a couple months back (after a lengthy hiatus) just to fool around in PVP, but now I don’t even think I’ll be able to enjoy that if I have to skulk away and wait for resources to come back, or just die after getting one gank kill.

I’ll be giving the warden class a try, but damn, I just really like the look of my fat cat in his servants robes.

    oh well.

Siphoning Strikes – Looks like it will give health back when used.

Morph = Leeching Strikes- Looks like it will give Stamina back when used. (Don’t know if you will get health back as well.)

Morph = Siphoning Attacks- Looks like it will give Magicka and Health back when used.

It looks like you will have to make a choice to which attribute the ability will give back.

It’s supposed to help players like yourself as cp for example are not that important anymore and many “godmode” setups for PVP are destroyed now. Sustain is very difficult but you will be perfectly fine as there are still ways to do it. It’s just at the cost of top dps but for playing casually, it’s not too bad. Plus they might change stuff still as it’s just the first week of pts.

It’s basically crap now. 1500 hp/s and 250 Stam/s in Theorie with perfect weaving. So much more like 1000 hp and 200 Stam in real Fights.

The base skill only gives hp back. Leeching hp+Stam. Siphon hp+magicka.

    HP cant crit :(

The way it is now, Nightblades will be the worst choice for trials. Dont know about PvP – depends on your preference. You can always do something as all classes suffer from sustain issues so its hard to predict the meta in Cyrodiil or Battlegrounds. But in trials, its all about Magicka Sorcs and Magicka DKs the way it’s now.

    No, its still Stamsorc.

I like old Caltrops better. As there are no Stam users in raids anyways, it was never an issue that its for one person only. 12s just sucks as well, doesnt fit well into the rotation.

Well…it does pair nicely with the “instant cast” bug on hail…if you don’t mind losing damage from PI and Rending. (ugh)

Not in game to look at numbers, but with the increase in damage, couldn’t it still be a net gain running anti-cav at 70% uptime in the current rotation?

The other option… I’ve been playing with getting my blade cloak uptime/overcast management dialed in… Through three passes through dual wield, I cast it first, last, then not at all. Maybe the same thing could work? It’s a pain in the butt to manage, but does play well when I pull it off.

Pretty sure I would rather recast Catrops 2s too early.

Fair. This is why you’re the boss around here. :)

Very curious to hear your thoughts once we can all talk about Fight Club.

its cool how in every other mmo when a expansion come out you get stronger and stronger but not in elderscroll….u become weaker and weaker so the new player can have a chance against you….on xbox less than 1% of the players manage to beat vet maw of lorkhaj and morrowind isnt going to help

And to be honest, I have enough trouble sustaining my rotation with caltrops as a non-Redguard on live – If there are still major nerfs to sustain when it launches in June, I don’t think I would be able to keep caltrops up, considering the net cost of keeping it up has been increased. (The cost was cut in half, but the duration was cut by more than half)

Sums it up pretty good. Was a hard time to reach 50k again after the next patch. Not sure if we will ever reach that again. But if there is a way, we will find it.

*spoiler* with the current build, I was out of Stamina after 36s (no redguard passives, 100% Leeching Stikes uptime) on pts test dummy. It will require a massive change in the build to adept.
