As I understand it you have to be at the Shrine of Mara to be able to use the pledge of Mara.
I know there is one such shrine in Elden Root, do anyone know of a shrine in Auridon?
Seems odd that i have to get to a 15+ level zone to use my pledge to get the 10% bonus on XP.
If there is no known shrine in Auridon… do anyone have an idea how to get to Elden Root quickly
    after starting the game?

    If anyone know… please share.

I’ve heard that there is a shrine in Vulkhel Guard, though I’m not quite sure of the location. It only makes sense to allow us to use the EXP bonus from the start.

The EXP ring will take up an actual ring (jewellery) slot won’t it? So it makes sense that we should be able to use it early- further into the game I’d probably be more interested in forgoing the EXP bonus in favour of stats from a different ring.

This is actually what Ive been wondering.  If they intend to allow us to use the rings from the getgo that means there will have to be a shrine in Auridon, or hell even the starter island possibly.  During the last event when the shrines were in, did anyone find a shrine of mara in either of these zones?  Ive been under the impression that we would have to run to the Elden Root City.  Those are the only shrines that I was aware of.

I’m not sure where it’s located but I do expect that we’ll be able to access it very early in the game.

I’m actually LF A RINGS OF MARA PARTNER.  I’ll be leveling a DPS/tanking dragon knight and I’d like to partner with a healer oriented player (I have the 5 day early pass so you’ll need that too).

As far as play style goes I’m a fast leveler who puts in long hours daily.  To run with me you need to either be a fast leveler too, or a moderate leveler (in which case i can spend some of my downtime grinding and leveling crafting while you’re not around).  Either way, you need to be a daily player.

I do LOVE pvp but my understanding is that questing is the fastest way to lvl in ESO so I’m cool with questing and dungeoning all day… whatever makes us a great leveling team :).

If anyone is interested just let me know via a reply.

Actually you get the rings after you done the ritual, you have to use the “Pledge of Mara”  (Equip it in quickslot) and target the right person.
But other than that the answer is a simple…. yes.

The Shrine of Mara is on the map in Devon’s Watch, it just wasn’t usable in Beta – I presume it’s in the equivalent city for all 3 Alliances, meaning you can use it at Lvl 3 if you like.

Now the quest Rings of Mara, that quest lets you get married to other players if I am not mistaken. I feel this might be awkward since there are more male players than female.

There is a shrine in Auridon yes, first town right where you start out, up the steps where you meet the queen, right in the middle of the town.

Edit: It’s visible on the map too, won’t be hard for you to find.

Seems interesting, are you also playing on EU Server? I would also have the 5 day early pass.

Hey Crush.  I’m actually going to be on the US server.  Don’t really care what faction though.  What class/spec are you planning on running?

You think that’s awkward? I’m planning on “marrying” my daughter… It really should have just been a friendship bond and forget the whole “rings of Mara” business. It could make for amusing gameplay between actual non-related friends though :P
