So I just saw that there are purple foods that increase hp and mag/stam and provide mag/stam regen AND just scale to your level, not a range. Are these good? Are blue foods flat out better than tri now? Where do you find recipes for any of these things, because I’m running low on my old v10 tri food and want to make some new delicious treats for my templar.

A few of the unusual recipes can be gotten from Orzoga, a quest given in Wrothgar. (Those would be the ones with “Orzoga” in the name. :) ) The rest — other than the two gold XP-boosting drink recipes — drop for limited periods of time during holiday events, and at this time can only be acquired from other players, for example through guild traders.

When I look at the numbers on those recipes, I always decide just to keep using standard blue food instead. But if you don’t have a leveled-up provisioner, those can certainly be good alternatives. And some people like one or the other recipe over standard food for some builds even if they do have access to the alternatives.

Okay so I spent 3k and got a Witchmother’s Potent Brew recipe, I plan on making a ton for pve because I definitely struggle with solo and small group resource management, but can’t forgo the hp/mag buffs. Gonna see how I like it against my cp100 tri-food, and maybe if I can find a cp150 blue mag/hp food and a cp150 tri test it against that.

If you play on PC/NA I can make you any kind of food or drink you want. I think I have the recipes for every stat combination in the game.

I do, and I really appreciate the offer, and while I may take you up on that in the future, this witchmother’s brew stuff is a godsend. 720 less mag, 741 less hp than tri food, a bit less than 1600 hp and 1500 mag than dual food but I’ve been having immense magika problems and this solves them all. Also I’d really love to be able to craft my own tri and dual food, just need the recipes. Would happily pay/trade for them.

Witchmothers came out around i think halloween and was/is best available for healers and mag dps in both pve and pvp.  There was an outcry that there was no stam equivalent (max health + mag + mag regen), but this was due to balance issues.

still best you can do from what i understand… tristat purples only good as tank food really, and blue food for stam dps.

Yeah I tested it against cp100 and cp150 tri food and the tri doesn’t even compare when i’m on dps, and tri food is preferable only for boss fights where I need to roll dodge a lot as a healer, other than that the witchmother’s is the stuff, period. Super stoked I got it for so cheap, made 400 for my guilld bank and can make another 400 when I want, cost about 20k for 1k of these things, self crafted, ingredients bought.
