Hello everyone . I am so glad to share my Warden tank build at last . I’ve been doing so many tests and runs with this character and finally reached the point where I want to be . This build completed every trial in this game and proven to be capable of tanking every boss . This thread will be just a summary of what I use and short explanation of skills . If you want to go deeper into how to play this build and why I chose this setup , you’ll have to watch my build video . It is a long one so I really cannot write down everything in this thread ^^

    STATS

    ZO3913.jpg

You can reach me in-game , @LiofaTR , I am playing on PC EU server . After playing a DK tank for long time , I must say , Warden tank is so refreshing and fun to play . I am mastering this class by the day and I am being more and more comfortable with it . I’ll probably make another theorycrafting discussion video about Warden and Dragonknight tanking , advantages and disadvantages for both etc. Should be fun :) Anyways , hope you like my build , enjoy !

Nice write up. Been looking forward to this since your original warden video.

What is wrong with Expansive Frost Cloak at the moment?

How do you feel about having Subterranean Assault on backbar for trash debuff and Flourish, instead of Deceptive Predator?

    Hey !

Frost Cloak and it’s morphs work like this . If there are 6 people in range , caster will not get the buff . It is applied to only 6 people per cast and will not go to the other 6 if casted twice . In order to get the buff myself , I chose Ice Fortress .

In pledges , trash dies fast enough already and in trials we already taunt everything . I think it is wasted and speed buff will cover if there is a lack in trash clearing since you can run to the next trash pack really fast and stack them up before your group joins . I just really like being fast , makes me avoid mechanics easier and I take less damage . I learned that having speed buff as a tank is almost a necessity when I started to use Speed potions on my DK . It just feels much better and Warden has it better than DK because Speed potions are bugged and will remove all Speed buffs if your group is using Retreating Maneuver . On a Warden , you already have 14 seconds of speed and still can use tri-stat potions :)

That’s interesting. I’ve always been using Ice Fortress, but did not know that about Frost Cloak.

That’s an interesting perspective. I shall try it out some time!

I am too used to having Balanced on DK and tends to use skills too liberally on Warden as well. Do you run low on magicka at all?

Not really . I use 1 piece Choketorn and 1 piece Shadowrend while doing pledges because I use Frozen Device a lot . While using Lord Warden in trials , my Magicka is around 40-60% at all times . Not higher , not lower . My rotation and my Magicka Recovery is balancing out each other in the exact way I want ^^ On the other hand , I tend to run lower if I am not healing with Leeching Vines . Have two solutions for that . First is obviously potions . Second way is doing a fully charged heavy with lightning staff . A bit risky but definitely doable , I’ve done it many times . Fully Charged Heavy with Lightning Staff gives an insane amount of Magicka since we are in Heavy Armor . Should restore at least 30-40% of your Max Magicka . Most important thing while playing Warden is , running low on Magicka doesn’t mean your Stamina will go down as well , opposed to DK playstyle . So , you don’t have to be concerned when your Magicka goes low . Only reason I have Atronach is to keep my rotation going , otherwise I would use Lord :)

I tried lightning heavy last patch, it was too risky with lag; perhaps I could also work on my timing in the future. But I will probably continue working with potions for now.
