    Bosmer Nightblade

I cannot help it I’m a bow junkie. There I said it :-)

I have been away from the game for over two years and am giving the game another shot. I love AVA…and I love using the bow.

Sooooooo much has changed that I’m at a loss to pick a class and race.

I would appreciate some suggestions  that will at least start me on  a reasonable path. Yes I love to craft as well and make my own items where possible.(In the past I made a nightblade/bosmer in AD.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Bow in PVP has to be about play style. In cyrodiil today you really cant compete with the meta builds with a bow centric build.

Of course someone will likely be along to dispute my claim but im betting they dont play a primary bow user, lol.

I play a primary bow user.  Bombard is awesome in AvA, defending or advancing in bridges, choke points, etc. It is a high damage area of effect that immobilized and snares.

Poison Injection is also great as an execute damage over time to “tag” players and prevent them from getting away.

I play non vet only. My strategy has been all heavy armor high health builds that find another way to get weapon power up (warrior mundus, weapon damage enchant jewelry, clever alchemist + potions of weapon damage/crit).

I think Nightblade is a great class for bow because it provides a lot of maneuverability (cloak/speed increases) and crowd control.

I think Incapacitating Strike is so good – you’ll want one of your bars to be set up for melee range and include that ultimate.

A heavy attack DragonKnight that uses that molten armaments morph – and natural tankiness/resource sustain, could be a good build as well.  I recommend Night’s Silence so you can stealth without a movement penalty and get positioned more easily for the kill.

Re:race, pick one with extra stamina regen.  Harder to sustain bow with heavy attacks vs melee weapons, because they take so long!

redguard DK is pretty nice, especially with Leap adding in an extra massive damage in a burst… you can molten, potion, Lethal Arrow + heavy bow attack + barswap cancel + leap with DW bar up all within a second to land all hits nearly simultaneously using the higher weapon damage from DW bar…  the stun from leap takes care of making it really easy for you to apply a venomous claw + steel tornado for the win.

I gather Clever Alchemist gear is part of that plan?

I’m a lover of the bow…..IN OTHER GAMES. In ESO the devs punish its use.The bow lacks the ability to sustain high damage levels. Put a bow user in ESO mandated quests…..and you have  player PAIN.

Yes, it can be and for burst you cant really beat it for the bonus it adds.  Kutsuu uses it to great effect, and i have to say dueling him is super painful on my 7H DK with 35k health…
