    Hi all,

I recently wrote a round-up of blogging articles predicting the success or demise of TESO. The link is below:

Got any predictions you feel like adding?

Thank you, that was an interesting read, especially the cons some people had. Was it just me or did some of them sound really petty and childish?

There is no room for ’2’ in the world of 1’s and 0’s, no place for ’mayhap’ in a house of trues and falses, and no ’green with envy’ in a black and white world.

The most childish was the one I wrote. :)

This is a fan site so everyone here will be pro-TESO, but it is pretty interesting to read what people are thinking and predicting. I would love for TESO to blow the critics out of the water, but only time will tell how successful this game will be.

I want to remain unbiased, but I play the game. That being said, I kept thinking the same thing.

It’s not even that, I mean I’d like to see ESO succeed, but at the same time I’m not blind to its failings. What annoys me is double standards some people have (I’m looking at you, Massively). Main problem a lot of reviewers seem to be having is the sub fee, at teh same time they can’t keep their knickers on talking about Wildstar, which is also a sub MMO but noone seems to mention it every 5 sentences in their reviews. A lot of them look like they want ESO to fail just because.

Forbes was written with bad information regarding the expense of the game, several of these bloggers are working with terrible bias showing through. When I see a quote “I am opposed to this game succeeding” I can’t help but think I’m glad I don’t actively read that persons blog.

What pisses me off is that players are so anti-sub fee now, theyve become so damn cheap with being spoiled with free games.  Hasnt any of the free to play games shown ppl just how terrible they are?  A game has a sub, they bitch bitch bitch and bitch… Jesus if only I could scream on the internet forums, lol.  For me, a sub = higher quality product.  free = terrible quality updates, lack of oomph in the update, lack of decent players, bunch of whiny 2 yr old kids join in.  I mean everything goes downhill.  Everything.

I predict the subscription model will incorporate some level of F2P (or straight up F2P) within a year or two. Every other AAA MMO released since WoW has at some point.
