Thanks, good to know. Haven’t really been in the loop for awhile. Got hooked on TES: Legends, and haven’t been playing ESO much.

I agree, I think they brought sustain down to the dumpster and will work up over the coming weeks rather than trying to work down.
For reference, what does Netchs Touch do? I haven’t seen all the sets yet.
An altme magicka sorc should suit you fine. Everything is in Flux right now with the impending morrowind update, so things are changing fast. Just keep that in mind.
Good considerations. We may also see a rise in the use of Dark Exchange and Spell Symmetry again in DPS/heal rotations. If this is the case sorcs are in a pretty good place, as the native access to shields allows for protecting the health hit from spell symmetry. And if that ability doesn’t end up working, then dark exchange becomes an attractive…[Read more]
I mean, it would be cool, but UESP already has a really good one. I recommend checking it out if you haven’t already.
Now, my lore is a little rusty, but I don’t THINK that the Imperials tried to conquer and unify everyone until Tiber Septim came along. So yes you are correct on that.
I guess where I disagree though is where you argue that DC seeks unity. What Emeric seeks is stability, and a man, not an elf, on the throne. The suffering in the current Breton…[Read more]
I have a heal/tank build here that might help you out.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Several races have a lore connection to nature with one group or another.
Breton Wyresses and Reachmen
Orc tribal shamans
Dunmer Ashlander wise women and Ashkhans
I am sure that the other races also have various subsets that revere/utilize nature Magick in some way, but these are the ones I know off the…[Read more]
Your race doesn’t have nearly as much impact on your performance as you seem to think. Imperial is not really a bad choice for anything. It has better synergy with stamina builds, but you can play magicka builds with it as well. DPS, healing, tanking, it works for all of them.
I advise checking out the templar theorycrafting subforum here for a…[Read more]
I love every bit of this. Well played.
Welcome to TF and ESO!
You can’t really ruin a character in ESO. You can always respec and try something new on the same character.
As for your question, you could go for a 1HS magicka templar tank or something, but bow and magicka really doesn’t mix well.
You could also just respec to stamina and use your bow and 1HS. It won’t be optimal, but…[Read more]
I will go ahead and point out that my main is a sorc damage dealer and master crfter that started out as a healer. Does just fine nowadays
You really can’t “ruin” a character in ESO. Just respec and change things around. Switch up your playstyle. Start using a destro staff. All you need to do to bring your character in line with how you want…[Read more]
I suppose what I meant by “fun” was more along the lines of “off-meta”. If you were looking for a bomb-blade build, I know you know where to find them, but that doesn’t seem to be the purpose of this thread.
And I guess when I think solo play in pvp, I think of the ability to gtfo when things go bad, and DK doesn’t really have the ability to do…[Read more]
Hmmm, are you looking for fun or efficacy here? The first thing that comes to mind for a dunmer solo magicka player is a magicka nightblade, but I am also suuuuper out of date when it comes to pvp.
The overload sorc is actually an old build from when fights were shorter and burst dps was the way to go. Not trying to call you out, just pointing it out since there is a great deal of information to help you refine your build.
A test I would run without going much further is to go to a target skeleton with a full bar of overload and find out…[Read more]
Hmm, damn. It seems the video I was thinking about is referring to PvP. Here’s the link anyways:
Regardless, Deltia’s website still has a lot of info regarding which stats to prioritize for DPS, and I stand by my Crit>Penetration>weapon damage statement from earler.
It is not optimal as far as I know. Check out Deltia’s gaming. He recently put out a video on YouTube comparing some top stamina gear sets. I would advise taking a look.
As a rule though, you will want to focus on crit chance, penetration, and weapon damage over raw stamina.

Okay, so you are practically at cp160. Once you hit that mark, a lot of gear options will open up for you. Regardless, you can start with the skill suggestions right now.
Completed dungeons will be full white on your map, while uncompleted dungeons will be black with a white outline. You can also check your journal in the Achievements section.
So, can you just clear up for us whether this is a pvp or a pve build? If a pve build, you should know that mobs can’t crit, so your crit resist is a worthless stat.
Also, I highly advise you check out a recent video from Deltia’s Gaming on the efficacy if gold gear. His tests were minimal, but the gist is that gold armor only improves your…[Read more]
