I don’t think so. Elegant is a 20% buff to heavy attacks alongside other stats. Since you will be heavy attacking the majority of the time unless you apply dots it’s huge, paired with the staff mastery passive the boost might be big enough to outperform netch.
I forgot to mention, but yeah prepot and refresh of the pot everytime it’s down ofcourse.
Enchantments have a 4 second cooldown, after applying dots you switch to frontbar to pulseweave. Your spell damage enchant on weapon will have around 44-50% uptime on backbar because you regularly switch to reapply dots…[Read more]
Don’t know what yolo does but we started basing our rotation on blockade of fire because it fits the pet and curse timers better. La = light attack, BSC is barswap cancel. So my rotation is:
Inner light > Heavy attack (inferno) > fiery rage > la
Blockade > la > LL > la > Curse > bsc > la > pet pulse > pulse weave/frags x4, barswap…[Read more]
LA means light attack. You light atyack in between every skill you cast to cancel animations, regen ult and magicka amd proc enchantments.
And next patch we will most likely have to. As heavy attack builds will most likely be king of these changes go through.
For now though, the non-heavy attack oet builds are still stronger
Ofcourse bsw is better without pet, without pet you don’t get the last bonus hahaha :p
Hahaha, i figured. Everytime i swap my curse to another bar i need a week to adapt and not screw up my rotation.
Muscle memory is hard to correct :p
What Pretzl said, and just the fact that you still use pet, very simply.
Haha no problem, hope i don’t flood your thread too much, i’m a blabbermouth
And just read your new guide, i have one question though if i may! Wouldn’t it be better to switch curse and mage’s wrath to get more frag procs in your regular rotation and single target damage boost on execute ?
Spellpower pots are only used in trials, outside of trials there really is no need for anything of that.
But if you want both buffs, inner light does not have to be double slotted because you don’t spend much time on your backbar anyway and since you’re just soloing/duoing who cares about minmaxing. So you can replace inner light or mage’s wrath…[Read more]
They better nerf sorc, some tests have been done on PTS:
41k self-buffed on target dummy with necro+elegance heavy attack pet build. Completely ridiculous.
Same for the warden: necropotence, elegant, ulti pet and heavy attacks.
Boring ass meta incoming unless they nerf, or get sustain support back up+
I’m from EU, i’m aware that many guilds do it like that but we disagree and do it otherwise :p
Elemental ring has been removed from sorc bars a substantial amount of time ago haha
The only thing you should be doing in trash fights as a magsorc is blockade, lightning, lightning heavy attack. And eventually execute.
I’m not Yolo but i can answer the question pretty well i think.
The pet is not viable whenever it either has to run constantly, dies constantly, or kills allies.
In VMOL pet was always good except on twins where it’s debatable. Reasons being that the pet can stun adds making them unchainable, pet needs a lot of management to switch bosses and to…[Read more]
That’s why your dps test is usually done with a healer that provides orbs and radiant aura.
Once you apply drain your entire system of values changes. You’d have to apply breach also for stamina characters to get representative comparisons
If you’re doing a self-buffed test it’s better not to. You don’t want to artificially buff your damage with buffs that others will apply in a raid. cause that defeats the point of a self-buffed test.
You want to see your raw dos to have the most accurate image IMO.
Otherwise yeah i could slot ele drain and lightning wall and hit 8k dps more. But…[Read more]
Heavy attack builds that already are good will just be godlike. You’ll see every sorc play a heavy attack build, just apply dots and pet, heavy attack and repeat.
Infinite sustain, and that staff mastery CP passive is going to be insane.
It’s going to be super freaking boring. Not to be a doomsayer, but if no additional changes…[Read more]
Imperfect illambri doesn’t matter too much if it’s just the trait. Do you use food, spellpower potions? And what is your cp? Make sure that if you don’t have a maelstrom staff you put th espell damage enchant on your backbar and inferno glyph on frontbar.
Apart from those factors it will all be in your rotation and weaving.
At cp 450 i hit 30k…[Read more]
Because in a group you don’t need to heal yourself and spellpower potions already provide the major sorcery, rendering surge pretty much useless.
If you don’t use spellpower potions and really need the damage boost/heals in dungeons just replace trap with it.
If you’re inexperienced i wouldn’t run trap anyway. As its awkward to use and you…[Read more]
Ehm, what? No, no. Destro ult is without a doubt the strongest ult we have. It depends severely on the situation. Saying destro ult is only to show off is….. quite ignorant.
Here’s where destro ult is godlike: Start of twins, suneater groups, hulk cleave on rakkhat, reflection and atronach cleave on mage, add clear on stone atro, mantikora…[Read more]
