Been discussing this on OF.  Seems PTS will not actually be up and running until tomorrow according to Gina’s post.

As for the announcement, I am happy to see they are getting this into the game before the end of the year but I am sad that they did not add any new trials or provide any word about up-scaling the ones we have and vDSA to v16.

I really wish they would cease the constant piece meal delivery of content and actually provide a complete expansion on all levels of play for once, as I have seen them in other games, but it seems we are forever playing the waiting game on something…

Master weapons should scale to v16.

Really underwhelming currently as v16 denotes level cap, so all future Master weapons should they follow current design; enhance weapon skill 3, then 4 and finally 5 respectively, they’ll all be max level equivalent but Master’s Sword for example will only scale to v14 from Vdsa?

I just hope it doesn’t take too long for the first ones to scale.

    Trust the deceit.

The update looks interesting. I like how they have emphasised on possibility of solo play challenges, which is welcoming. Base game patch comes with Gamepad support which may satisfy some users or even start a regression of players back from the consoles. Cross-alliance grouping dungeons could be interesting as well. Champion points cap…there is always something controversial that comes with an update.

They have already say that the trials were not built to be expanded. Zenimax doesn’t do expansions, actually I like it this way because you always have new stuff to look forward to each quarter rather than having to wait a year or more for new stuff.

They are capping champion points at 501, even on the pc. Seems like zenimax is starting to forget about their hardcore players and are trying to make the game more casual. I’m an Xbox player but I’ve already gotten over 300 and will probably reach the cap before December. Thus making all of my efforts and the efforts of pic transfers and people like me feel like all of our hard work is for nothing. I’ve been trying not to rage about this and understand other people’s thoughts but, I know many people who are not going to stick around because of this update just for that reason. Cater to people who want a more casual play style. Just don’t take champion points away from the people who stayed in this game from the beginning.

It’s a problem that needs to be addressed. How can you have people come into a game late if it’ll take them months if not a year to reach the power level of their peers.

The champion system was a disaster and I for one am glad Maria Aliprando, its architect, has moved on from Zenimax.

The problem is that by capping champ points they are achieving nothing besides pissing you off, and the idea is to piss you off for the good of the game. What this means is they should not only establish a cap, but greatly increase the rate at which champ points can be gained so people can catch up in a month or two of play, otherwise no serious endgame group will ever accept late comers and guilds will be fragmented away from having friends join their raids because they’d be so largely disadvantaged in performance.

This kind of power creep should have never existed in the first place. It’s the worst incarnation of power gap that has existed in any recent MMO.

Looking forward to the cap on champ points. It has made pvp absolutely disastrous. I work 10 hours a day, with that my game time is cut down drasticly. This will help people similar to me challenge those who do nothing but sit on mommy and daddy’s couch playing eso. It can’t come fast enough. I have played from launch on Xbox one. Sit at vet 16 with 100 cp I walk into someone with 1200 I’m dead, how is that cool. Not to mention pc transfers with 2500+. It’s not about casual game play, it’s about giving people who have a life outside of tamriel the chance to play with the big boys and girls.

    You can’t stop me.

Awesome it comes with an awesome bear mount that’s 2500 crowns and a baby bear pet (1000 crowns) and on top of that the DLC which costs 3000 crowns so overall the collectors Edition gives you 1k crowns off which is great and the DLC has a load of costumes I think it’s well worth the price
