The ESO Vodcast – Melee Breakdown

It's all about hitting stuff in the face...

It’s all about hitting stuff in the face on this episode of the Vodcast!

Soma and Deagen are back with the next episode of The ESO Vodcast, this time around they are tackling all the melee weapon types you’ll encounter in ESO as well as providing some analysis for how they think each type might fit into a variety of different builds. Be sure to catch the replay as the the guys review all three skill lines and share their thoughts on what sounds like it will work, and what sounds underwhelming. As always, post your questions in the comments below to have them addressed on the next episode of The ESO Vodcast.

The show will be wrapped up with questions from Tamriel Foundry members and from folks in the chat room. We hope you enjoy this episode of the ESO Vodcast and be sure to tune in next week for an in-depth look at the ranged weapons of BowDestruction Staff, and Restoration Staff. Cheers and enjoy for the show!

This helped a great deal in understanding passives interacting with actives between classes and melee weapons.  Patiently waiting for a similar discussion on ranged weapons when the ranged weapon info comes out.

I think that BLIND will be exactly what it says it is…you get blinded and your whole screen fades to a bright white..then slowly fades back to normal……like, getting hit by a flash grenade in a FPS.  That’s what I hope it is at least.  Makes sense with the skill being called SPARKS too…

It might be worth reading between the lines on this one and remembering that Deagen and Soma have been playing beta.

meh..seems to me like they really didn’t know…just cos someone got to play beta doesn’t mean they played every skill in the game…Sparks doesn’t unlock till pretty late in the leveling process as well.  I just dont see BLIND being a silence.  If it was a silence they would just call it silence.  Clashing your weapons together and creating sparks in your enemies face to stop them from casting doesn’t make much sense to me, I see it as reducing vision.   Guess we will see.

I notice Momentum doesn’t specify while a two-handed is equipped any chance that you could you use that with all melee or did they just get lazy lol. I plan on playing a Sorc tank and think i would be awesome to have that and lightening form with a mace and shield.

I feel like all were gunna see is the same race/class combinations because of the bonuses. I was gunna choose a dunmer nightblade but then i thought i would enjoy dragonknight better so i immediately switched to nord for my race. Idk, well just have to see in game how the bonuses affect your stats.
